2018 Awareness Week

Our 2018 Awareness Week, 1–8 July, saw the launch of a powerful new video featuring women talking about their traumatic births. Content warning: birth stories.

Awareness Week was covered in Mirror Online, which featured one of our members telling the story of her traumatic birth.

Two big fundraising events were arranged: a therapy-a-thon organised by Hannah Freimanis in Carmarthenshire that raised £820; and an 80s evening in Northern Ireland organised by Amy Warke that raised £900.

Twitter chats ran each evening, Monday to Friday, on subjects relating to birth trauma: birth injuries; bonding and attachment; tokophobia; planned caesarean section; and telling your story.
