Rachael Manku
If you’ve experienced a traumatic birth and would like to talk about it, I’m here to listen. Maybe you’re not sure if what you experienced was traumatic, but it’s left you feeling strange, out of sorts, not yourself. You could be feeling disconnected, anxious or panicked, and having unexpected, uncomfortable or conflicted feelings about your baby. Or, life after the birth might just feel really difficult.
I offer space to think about what happened, and to help you make sense of your experience. We’ll work together to process and work through your feelings so you can move forward without the long shadow a difficult birth can cast.
As an experienced therapist, I have worked with new parents for many years, in the NHS and private practice. We can meet in-person in my comfortable room in central Tunbridge Wells, or online. You are welcome to have your baby with you during your sessions if you wish.
I see parents with new babies, as well as those who would like to talk about their birth experience at any stage. Sometimes, it can take a little while to realise that things weren’t ok. I’m here to talk whenever you feel ready, even if it’s many months or years after your baby arrived.
