Sarah James

Sometimes life can feel very small. After a difficult or traumatic birth experience, it's common to feel stuck in painful thoughts or emotions – and it can be hard to imagine feeling like yourself again.

If this sounds familiar, I can help. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about what's happened, explore how it's affected you, and begin to find a way forward.

I came to this work because I believe no one has to stay stuck. Opening up can feel daunting, but it can bring relief, connection, and the hope of change.

I'm trained in psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapy, which explores how past experiences shape the way we think, feel, and respond – often without us even realising it.

I work with individuals on issues including:

  • Pregnancy and birth trauma (for women, birthing people, and their partners)

  • Sexual assault

  • Addiction

  • Domestic abuse

  • LGBT+ issues

I'm a qualified, BACP registered therapist, offering weekly sessions online or in-person in Brighton.

You're welcome to book a free 20-minute call to see if I'm the right fit for you:
